Florianopolis , or Floripa as it is often called, is a beach town on the island of Santa Catarina in the South of Brazil .  We had a blast here as it is a great little city with only 300,000 inhabitants, beautiful girls and 42 beaches!  It was only about a 3 hour drive (or a quick 45 minute flight) from Curitiba . So we made it in time to party Friday night.

Curitiba was a blast but there wasn't as much to do during the day as cities like Rio. The women we met were gorgeous, and we accomplished our mission, which of course is to show all of you guys out there what the action looks like around the world. Anyway, the weekend was approaching so we decided to cancel our Saturday flight to Florianopolis, and rented a car to drive down to Floripa on Friday instead.

On the way down to Florian opolis, we passed the "Sinuelo" which is the original discovery ship of Brazil. The Portuguese sailed here in 1500 on this very ship! I was looking at it and thinking, this ship is pretty small. I don’t think I would have wanted to sail from Portugal to Brazil on this flimsy little wooden thing. Thank goodness for the courageous guys that did. They discovered what today has become an oasis for men. (I know we covered this at the end of the Curitiba Adventure, but it's here again for those who missed it.)

We arrived at the hotel late on Friday night and immediately went to the rooftop to check out the views. They were spectacular!

The nightlife in Floripa was pretty good. There were far more girls than guys at every club we went to. This seems to be the case all over Brazil ! You gotta love this country, I'm telling you!

We had fun at the clubs on our first night, but called it a night early as we were exhausted from our time in Curitiba, plus the three hour ride took its toll. So, we headed home and got some much-needed rest.

We planned on seeing what kind of trouble we could get into at the beach the next day!!
